Meet the Artist ~ 2016 Soque River Ramble

Clarkesville artist Sarah Samsel used pressed flower petals and other plant material to create the brook trout featured on the 2016 Soque River Ramble t-shirt, website and poster. Sarah, who is known for her pressed flower artwork, cornhusk creations and window paintings, frequently can be spotted in her big floppy hat taking care of the flowers on the Clarkesville Square or in the Mauldin House garden. To learn more about Sarah’s artwork, visit her website, sarahslavendercottage.com or her Etsy shop, CornhuskCreatures.
