The Soque River Watershed Association (SRWA) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization working to protect and restore the Soque River, its tributaries, and watershed. The Soque River is a major headwater tributary to the Chattahoochee River which serves as the primary drinking water supply for the city of Atlanta. Primary activities of the Association include: organization of a community watershed partnership; grant management of multiple Federal Clean Water Act grants to complete a watershed assessment, draft a watershed protection plan; and implement agricultural and urban stormwater pollution prevention projects that keep our streams and rivers clean and healthy.

Ernest H. “Bucky” Woods and William R. “Bill” Oliver began practice in the firm of Oliver & Woods with in 1983. In 1987 Mr. Woods was appointed as Solicitor of the State Court of Habersham County and re-elected to that post in 1988. In 1992, Mr. Woods ran successfully for one of two Superior Court Judge positions in the Mountain Judicial Circuit of Georgia. In 1999, he was elevated to the position of Chief Judge for the Mountain Judicial Circuit and held that position until he retired from the bench in 2010 and returned to private practice with the law firm of Oliver & Weidner, LLC, reuniting with his former law partner, Bill Oliver.
