Stay and see Clarkesville after the race.

In the weeks leading up to the Soque River Ramble we will highlight the unique and eclectic charm of the the Northeast Georgia mountain area, highlighting points of interest to visit and adventures you can plan after the race.

This week our focus is on the charming City of Clarkesville,  the county seat of Habersham County.  Clarkesville was  named “The Friendliest Town” by Blue Ridge Country Magazine.  You will find everything from farm-to-table dining and boutique shopping to community theater and great live music when you explore the square and Experience Clarkesville.

Just north of the Downtown area on Historic Highway 441 go bowling or browse through the Old Mill Market where you will find antiques and collectibles or have lunch on the 7+ acre campus of the Old Clarkesville Mill.

From the parking area of the Old Clarkesville Mill, step on the boardwalk and stroll through the constructed wetlands of the Clarkesville Greenway Project  and experience first hand the positive impact the Soque River Watershed Association projects have on this area.

Stay tuned for next week’s spotlight…
